Australian Diabetes Council is Australia's largest charity organisation for people with diabetes and we rely heavily on the generosity of a caring community to continue our vital work. Our core business is the management, detection and prevention of diabetes.
Australian Diabetes Council is non-political and receives a small annual grant from State Government. We are 60 per cent self-funded and rely heavily on the support of our members and supporters. With your support, Australian Diabetes Council is able to offer programs and services that make a world of difference to all people living with diabetes in NSW.

The mission of Australian Diabetes Council is to improve health and in the process, enhance lives.
We achieve this by:
- Being the primary point of reference for people living with diabetes;
- Developing and delivering leading edge advocacy, products, programmes, information and services;
- Working towards the prevention of diabetes;
- Building mutually beneficial partnerships with our stakeholders;
- Increasing our number of members and continuing to provide support for all those affected by diabetes.
Our Goals
- That every person with diabetes is diagnosed;
- To reduce the incidence of diabetes through our awareness and education programs;
- To provide everyone living with diabetes with full access to our products, programmes and services;
- To ensure our Diabetes Channel and website, www.australiandiabetescouncil.com are up to date with the news about the latest developments in diabetes;
- To connect our Board of Directors, Executive, staff, members and stakeholders through our interactive media;
- To be in the top 10 charities of choice;
- To be acknowledged as an effective social enterprise.
