2009 Seven Bridges Walk
Diabetes Australia-NSW is proud to be a charity partner of the 2009 Seven Bridges Walk - a great way to see Sydney, benefit your health, join in a great community activity and raise money for charity.
Seven Bridges Walk is not a race and everyone is a winner.
You can start at any of the seven event villages - The Rocks, Pyrmont, Rozelle, Hunters Hill, Lane Cove, Wollstonecraft, Milsons Point - and you can walk clockwise around as much or as little of the 25 kilometre circuit as you wish. The event is run on existing pathways and participants will follow regular pedestrian road rules.
At each of the villages there are registration and first aid facilities, toilets, an event information booth, activities from sponsors, food stalls and live music.
There will also be water stations at each of the villages so that people can fill up their water bottles as they walk around Sydney.
You can donate money at any of the event villages and all proceeds will be evenly distributed between the four charity partners - Diabetes Australia-NSW, Beyond Blue, Heart Foundation and Cancer Council NSW. Donations can also be made online at the Seven Bridges website.
Now in its fourth year, more than 24,000 people have taken part and raised over $100,000 since its inception.
You can register online for the Seven Bridges Walk now at www.sevenbridgeswalk.com.au.
